The “Austin Lights & Vibes” longhorn sculpture customized by neon artist Todd Sanders and multi-media artist Rory Skagen was auctioned for an astonishing $100,000 in April as part of the second annual MJ&M charity fundraiser held by actor Matthew McConaughey, musician Jack Ingram and Texas football coach Mack Brown. The Fiberglas bovine featured depictions of iconic Austin imagery (including Skagen’s “Welcome to Austin” mural, which graces the exterior of Sanders’ studio), topped by Sanders’ retro-styled neon rendering of Austin’s ‘Live Music Capital of the World’ slogan. The longhorn stampede raised nearly $600,000 for various charities.Todd Sanders Longhorn Austin Lights & Vibes-page-001
